before the closing date: 30th Dec 2004.
Please include details of the genre of the story (ghost story, romance,
humour, etc) and your contact details. (Our No Spam Guarantee:
Your details will not be distrubuted to any other organisation or company,
and will only be retained by us for the purposes of the competition,
after which they will be removed from our systems.)
Rules:
1. All participants must agree fully and unconditionally to the rules
outlined here, and by sending an entry they automatically agree to do
so.
2. The Short Story must not have been published anywhere before. The
story should be the entirely the work of the person sending the entry and not infringe
any copyright rules. Entrants will be legally liable for their work,
and accept they, not Amying Partnership, will be responsible for all
legal costs in the event of any legal challenge; e.g. copyright infringement.
3. Maximum length of Short Story must be 5000 words. Email entries must
be in one of the following formats: text (.txt), Word (.doc, any version
97-XP), or Adobe (.pdf). Entries may be cancelled if not in one of these
formats.
4. All entrants must be 18 years old or over.
5. Amying Partnership will decide the winner from those entries sent
before the closing date of 30th Dec 2004. Once the winner has been announced
Amying Partnership will not enter into any discussion on the reasons
for selecting the winner. Only the winners will be notified, and the
winners names will appear on this website sometime after the closing
date for entries.
6. Amying Partnership reserve the right to cancel the competition, or
to refuse entries, without giving notice or reasons.
7. Amying Partnership, or the owners of this website, will retain copyright
of entries, unless otherwise and previously agreed in writing, or legally
exempt from doing so (e.g. copyright is already owned, and therefore
the entry is invalid). All short stories may be used for publicity for
this website and Amying Partnership, and Amying Partnership will retain
copyright of the winning entry, and may use the entry for any legal
purpose, including, but not limited to, publishing in any media, with
or without profit for Amying Partnership, it's owners, or partners.
8. Amying Partnership, or the website owner, may amend, clarify or alter these rules, for legal
or other reasons, in anyway deemed necessary, at anytime, without giving
prior notice.
9. Entries will be shown on the website, unless otherwise decided by
Amying Partnership or the website owners. Neither Amying Partnership
nor the website owners need to give reasons why some entries are not
shown.
